Antique Mamiya

by Ken Worley

I’m not the type that collects antiques, but I’m a sucker for old cameras. We don’t have a large collection of antiques camera but there is one, this old Mamiya, that is very special to our family. It is also the header on my blog, but I’m sure you noticed that.

Jamie’s grandfather bought this camera while he was in Japan during World War Two. He know that we were photographer and told us about the camera and said that if knew where it was he would give it to us. I didn’t think much about the conversation after that day. Well after Jamie’s grandfather passed away her mom found the camera in a box and brought it to us. Now it has a very special place in our small collection of cameras.

Swweet!! This makes my heart skip a beat. And how amazing that it was around in WWII. You’ve got a little piece of history in your hand. How cool.
