My Grandparents had an old LaGrange city bus in their backyard for years. They used it as a place to store stuff. My cousins and I used it as a playground. That bus was our fort, the enemy caravan moving in to attack us, a hiding spot for games, and even a magical bus to take us anyplace we wanted to go.
Now that my Grandparents are going, it is a place to remember. I was able to visit it today and share stories about my child hood and ‘The Bus” to my two youngest. This old bus will always have a special spot in my life.

Today we trained on how to pull a person into our surf launch boat. Thanks to the local Coast Guard for letting us borrow Oscar, the floating mannequin they also use for training.

Another photograph lit be a small flashlight. I like the control I get by using this light painting method.

This photograph was lit by a single small flashlight being move over the guitar. The camera’s shutter was open for a 11 seconds during the process.

This was my first time photographing something in a water drop. I discovered that I need a few things to make it easier. The main thing is a way to keep the drop steady and next time I will break out my tripod to put the camera on. I shot this all handheld.
