I decided to get another tattoo earlier this week. Really, I decided to get it about six or seven months ago and just now got around to having it done. Anyway, the day before my appointment I had an idea to see if could set up a camera during the process and do a time lapse of it. So I asked the guys at Family Tradition Tattoo, the same place Jamie got her tattoo a couple of days earlier, to find out if they were okay with me doing that. Well come to find out James, the one who started Family Tradition Tattoo, is into photography and thought it was a very cool idea. James and I talked photography while I was setting up my tripod and Kevin, my tattoo artist, was getting the ink ready . I love talking about photography to just about anyone who wants to listen.
This was my first attempt at doing a time lapse video. Looking back, I should have raised the camera higher to get a better angle. I didn’t take into consideration that Kevin’s hand might block part to the shot at times. I still think it turned out quite nice.
The finished tattoo was posted two days ago.
