Day 118: Flying Cards

Day 118: Flying Cards
Sometimes to make a photograph you have to do some strange things. For this shot I set the camera on a tripod, placed a hot shoe flash to camera right, and the camera was in self-timer mode with a five second delay. I clicked the shutter button and then laid on my back so I could throw the card up in to the light at the exact moment the flash fired.

Inspiration: David Murray

Photography Tip: Don’t worry about what other people think about you when you’re out making photographs.

Very cool effect Ken. Playing with strobes is one of the most fun parts of photography (for me, anyhow!).

I love today's tip. I have stopped worrying about what I look like crawling after bugs and flowers and sitting down for nice angles.
