I really want to live in a place where I can have a rig like this. You get a leg workout going to and from the water and an upper body workout while paddling.

Because International Talk Like a Pirate Day was this month, I decided to put one more pirate theme post on before October got here.

I knew about Tybee Island Lighthouse but I didn’t know that there was a smaller lighthouse call Cockspur Island Lighthouse on the way to Tybee Island. It was deactivated in 1909 as a navigational beacon but was relit in 2007 for historical purposes. It is open to the public if you can get to it.

Today is Kathryn’s birthday. She make me very proud every day, but she really showed how courageous she is when we went to the top of the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Even though she was hesitant, she climbed to the top and even walked all the way around the outside of the lighthouse. We all made it to the top but it was only Kathryn and me that walked around the outside.
