Motivation Monday

by Ken Worley

I have had many dogs over the years and all have provided some type of entertainment for me. But Lacy has more facial expressions then any dog that I have every known. She can be very difficult to photograph at times, she seems to know when a camera is pointed in her direction and immediately looks the other way. Trying to get photos of her is one way she keeps me motivated.

If Lacy could talk what do you think she would be say to me in this photograph?

Super Moon

by Ken Worley

The Super Moon is when a full moon occurs during a lunar perigee (when the moon is closest to the earth during its orbit)

For those who missed it because of clouds or you needed sleep more, here is a photograph of the super moon. I thought about adding a cape with a “S” on but was afraid of being sued by Superman.

Friend Friday

by Ken Worley

Meet Truc.

Truc

Truc is the receiving person for a small company in Woodstock, he is also the owner of a nail salon. Let’s hear it for entrepreneurship, the ability to start with a dream and through hard work make it a  reality is an awesome thing. I’m glad to live in a country that gives us the freedom to run after our dreams.

Thank you Truc to being this Friday’s friend.

Photography Word Wednesday

by Ken Worley

This week’s photography words are:

Image Stabilization -Uses a floating optical system to help steady the image when it is seen on the sensor. Both Canon and Nikon have lens with image stabilization, in Canon it is known as IS from the name and in Nikon it is called VR for Vibration Reduction. Some DSLR will have the IS built into the camera and not the lens.
