While walking today I spotted this ’55 Chevy in a neighbors yard. I walked closer, hoping that the owner might come outside and chat. He was not home, so I just walked around and took a few pictures. I would love to have a bride standing next to this beauty, but for today I’ll just settle for the car alone.

Sometimes you have to be patient to get the photo you want. Take Lila’s picture for instance: just before this shot she had her hand in front of her face or she had her dad’s finger in her mouth. I waited for her to relax and allow her arms to fall from in front of her face before clicking the shutter.

Berries of a dogwood tree in the rain. It’s awesome how God takes care of the birds; the berries appear on the dogwood tree at a time of year when the insects are scarce. The real cool thing is that God will take of us too, if we let Him and trust in Him.

In the picture above there are rocks, trees, leaves and a fence. Do you see only what I listed or something much more? This is where he had a family portrait session today. I guess you could call it the rockin’ location. You never know where you might find a place to have a photo shoot; I find myself always on the lookout for places to photograph families, couples, and brides. It’s a good idea to keep a notebook with you, just in case you spot an ideal photographic location.
