Day 10 Project 366 – Jumpin’ Jack Flash

by Ken Worley

I love coming up with photographs for song titles, it really does challenge me to use my creative side a little. Today is The Rolling Stones hit “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” I shot this in the rain with two flashes and the self-timer on the camera.

Day 9 Project 366 – The Twist

by Ken Worley

These song title themes keep songs running through my head while I keep my eyes open for a good way to translate the title into a photograph. The second in the series is from Chubby Checker “The Twist.”

Day 8 Project 366 – Free Bird

by Ken Worley

I made it through week one of Project 366. Now it’s time for week two, and with a new week comes a new theme. This week’s theme is “Song Titles.” It should be fun to come up with photographs that represent song titles. Let’s start the week off with a little Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird”

Day 7 Project 366 – Popcorn

by Ken Worley

A few years ago we got a popcorn popper as a Christmas gift. I decided to put it to use. I don’t know why I have not used this awesome piece of kitchenware sooner. Maybe it was because I thought it would take to long to make popcorn with it, because we are all about having things now. I was shocked at how quick it was to make a huge amount of popcorn. It only took about 5 minutes. It takes that long to make about half as much with bagged microwave popcorn, and there were no burnt kernels. So it cost less, take about the same amount of time as microwave popcorn, pops all the kernels without burning them, and it’s fun to watch the popcorn burst out of the top when it’s done.

Day 6 Project 366 – Photography Books

by Ken Worley

There are many bookshelves in our home. We have shelves for Bibles and devotionals, shelves for home schooling books, shelves for home school supplies and of course shelves for photography books. I have hard time picking a favorite book especially when it comes to photography. What’s you favorite photography book?

Day 5 Project 366 – Bass Head

by Ken Worley

I haven’t had my bass on my blog in a while so I thought it was time for it to make an appearance. At least part of it any way. I used a new LED video light for the first time to make this photograph.

Day 4 Project 366 – Keurig Coffee Maker

by Ken Worley

I was given a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas. I would not call myself a coffee snob, but I do enjoy coffee, so I had to make a photograph of the new coffee maker in action. Now I know why so many people love their Keurig coffee makers. The simplicity of making one cup of coffee without wasting coffee or filters and the easy clean up is a wonderful thing. My quest now is to find a more inexpensive place to purchase the K-cups for it.

Day 3 Project 366 – Wall Zebra

by Ken Worley

I’m still working on getting my new office decorated. I want to hang a few things on the wall: a favorite picture of past photo sessions, a white board to write ideas and to-do list on, or maybe a shelf to set an old camera or two on. I never really thought about hanging a zebra on my wall but it does add that little something to the work space.

Day 2 Project 366 – Yo-yo

by Ken Worley

One of the gifts I received this year for Christmas was a yo-yo. I went through a many a yo-yo when I was younger. I think most of them were taken up by teachers in school, because I would play with them while walking down the hall. So getting one this year really brought back memories for me.

It took more than a few clicks of the shutter to get this photograph just the way I wanted it. I had to use the self timer setting and throw the yo-yo at just the right time to get it in the frame.
