While meeting with friends for breakfast, there was a 5k race going on close to where we met. As we were walking by the finish line the sound of cheering came from the crowd. Looking over we saw Joe running the last part of the 5k.

I had a chance to meet and talk with him a little as he was leaving. I found out that he is 79 almost 80, I told him to have a good day and he said “It’s already been a good day”. What a great inspiration; I started running about three weeks ago. I hope I’m still running when I’m Joe’s age.

The police officer was only away from the car for a few seconds, must likely to check on things inside the store as they were opening. But seeing the police car parked between the “No Parking” signs really made me laugh.
