I’m not sure why, but I can’t help but keep photographing clouds. Maybe because they are ever changing.

A few days ago I posted a photo of the Oak Island Lighthouse before sunrise. Today you get to see the other side of the lighthouse, well after sunrise.

Today was a great day to be outside. While the kids and I were out biking, we saw guys skateboarding, people fishing, and surfers near the pier. It’s cool to live in a place that has so many outdoor activities all within biking distance.

I stopped by the Cape Fear River this morning to photograph the Oak Island lighthouse before sunrise.

I decide to run down the beach today, and my youngest one ran down to the pier and back with me.

The Island Rocket was custom built by a friend of mine at work. He purchased the engine and frame from the internet and then created the rest from different things. If you take a closer look, you can see how the angular gas tank gives it a distinct look. The forks are custom welded, the battery box is made from the kick plate of a door and the taillights are from a 1959 Cadillac.

Today was the first day we were able to try out our new kayaks.
