Day 30 Project 366 – Sand Dunes

by Ken Worley

The kids and I decided to stop by the beach on the way home from lunch at our favorite pizza place. I’m still getting used to being able to say that we “stop by the beach.” Before we moved, it was at least a four hour car ride to the ocean. Now we can ride bikes, skateboards, or even walk to the beach. We walked by these dunes today after we parked our bikes. The dunes are roped to keep people off them to help prevent erosion.

Day 28 Project 366 – Concrete Station

by Ken Worley

It’s funny the things you see if you take the time to look around. I’ve driven by this spot many times and never knew there was a concrete station here. Or maybe it just didn’t register as to what it was until I saw the concrete truck dumping water out of the mixer onto the gravel road going up the loading station. Keep your eyes open for the unnoticed.

Day 27 Project 366 – Wii Time

by Ken Worley

It has been said that inside every man there is a little boy, and I’m no exception to this statement. I might just let my inner child show a little more often than some. After all, I did just buy a longboard so I could go out and have fun with the kids. We enjoy a good game of Mario Cart Wii when we can’t go outside. As you can tell from the concentrated look on our faces that we mean business and take our racing very seriously.

Day 26 Project 366 – Planets?

by Ken Worley

There is an astronomical event happening where five planets line up in the sky and can be seen with the naked eye. I decided to go out this morning and try to photograph them. I don’t think I got all five but I might have a few in the frame. I’m sure one of my geeky astronomy friends can help me out and tell which ones I did get in the photo.
