Bracket – To make several exposure some darker and some lighter than the correct exposure. Bracketing is sometimes used in HDR (High Dynamic Range) images.

Exposure – the amount of light allowed to fall on the light-sensitive material.  Specifically the intensity of light multiplied by the length of time the light falls on the material.

It’s Wednesday, time for another photography phrase.

Depth of Field – The area between the nearest and farthest points from the camera that are in the sharpest focus.

Aperture – The size of the lens opening through which light passes.

It’s Wednesday and that means that it’s time for a photography word of phrase.

I’m going to give you another phrase about light.

Artificial Light – light from a lamp, a flash, or strobes. Anything that a photographer would use to light a scene. The opposite of last weeks post ambient light.
