On the top shelf of a small bookcase in our bedroom, there is a photograph from our wedding day and our cake topper. They remind me of the day that I married my best friend. I’m very blessed to have Jamie as my wife. I have been told that we complement each other very well. I think, it’s because we keep God in the center of our marriage and as long as that is where our focus is, we will always have a bond that can not be broken.

This teddy bear reminds me of our youngest. The year on the bottom of it’s foot, is the year she was born. It’s next to a big stack of book, much like I find my daughter at times; she really loves to read. And the bear’s arms are open ready for a hug, which is the way I’m greeted when I come home from work everyday.  Part of this week’s “Open Your Heart” theme.

It’s time to start a new theme for the week “Open your Heart” is this weeks theme. How appropriate is that for the week that has Valentine’s Day in it?

Today is the last day in the “Words” theme. A Kodak Brownie Hawkeye box with the camera inside is just one of the old camera we have around our house.

This is a sign that Jamie made out of an old cabinet door. It hangs on the wall next to the front door and reminds me not to take the day for granted.
