It was a nice day for boating on the waterway today.

I got the opportunity to watch a pelican taking off after a dive.

Tomorrow Jamie and I are running our first 5K together at Sunset Beach. I drove over the bridge to check it out after picking up our race packets.

I didn’t really consider myself much of a runner until we moved to an island where I can run on the beach. Now I find myself saying things like, “I get to run today” and “I’m going for a quick run before supper.”

There was a nice wooden schooner anchored in the Cape Fear River today. I can only imagine the places it’s been, and might go in the future.
