Photography Word Wednesday

by Ken Worley

This week’s photography words are:

AF Servo – Autofocus servo is the ability for the camera to continuously focus on the subject while it moves through the scene. This feature is very useful when photographing sports, wildlife and fast moving children. 🙂

AF Servo is also known as “AI Servo” on a Canon camera or “Continuous” on a Nikon camera.

by Ken Worley

This week’s motivation is my beautiful wife.

A husband should be motivated by his wife. Jamie is not just my wife. She is my best friend, the mother to my girls, my business partner and the love of my life. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, MY WIFE ROCKS and I thank God every day for bring us together.

Friend Friday

by Ken Worley

Meet Angela,

Angela

Isn’t great to have friends where all the family members can hangout and talk for hours and when it’s time to leave you wonder where the time has gone. That is the kind of friends Angela and family are to us. Our families have been friends for over six year now. We have photographed them for their holiday family portraits for the last four years.

Thank you, Angela for being this Friday’s friend.

Photography Word Wednesday

by Ken Worley

This week’s photography word:

ISO – is a number rating that describes the sensitivity to light of film or digital camera sensors. The higher the number to more sensitive the film or sensor is to light. This can be very useful when a faster shutter speed is needed in low light situations.

Motivation Monday

by Ken Worley

This week’s motivation is from one of our recent engagement session.

Amber and Skylar: Engagment Session

When photographing Amber and Skylar, I had a cool street scene in mind for them. But I wanted something a little different. So by placing a flash to camera left it gives it the feel of having a street light close to them. Another thing that gives it a little different look is from where the photograph was made. I was standing on a three foot tall cast iron railing with one foot, while my other foot was against a traffic light pole.

Oh yea, I almost forgot, to get the flash high enough for that street light feel, Jamie was standing on the arm of a metal park bench. I have to say “MY WIFE ROCKS”!

We really love what we do! If you would like to see more photographs from the engagement session check out the Worley Arts blog.
