I really wanted to put a palm umbrella and a beach chair on this point and wait for the sun to set.
Day 106 Project 366 – Mango of the Tree
Before this trip to the Dominican Republic, I had never had mango fresh from the tree. The mangos were not completely ripe yet but it was still very tasty, it reminded me of a Granny Smith apple.
The guys in my family group would throw rocks into a group of mangos to knock them out of the tree and so we could have a nice midday snack.

Day 104 Project 366 – Tamarind Tree
I was able to try and fruit called tamarind while in the Dominican Republic. It is a bitter fruit that reminded me of a Lemon Head, the Dominicans make the fruit into a juice and ice cream. I was hoping to get to try ice cream made from Tamarinds, but never had the chance. The kids in the photograph below were getting them for us so we could try them.

Day 99 Project 366 – Cross and Moon
Happy Easter! Christ has risen! While on the Dominican Republic mission trip we drove nails into a cross to symbolize our sins being taken to the cross with Jesus. It was a very powerful night of worship, to hear the nails being pounded into a cross while praising God through song really reminded me how much God loves us.
