Motivation Monday

by Ken Worley

Today’s motivation photograph is a nice ring shot from one of our weddings. I love the color of the blossoms and the “bling” of the beautiful rings. It was tricky getting the rings to balance on the limb because of the breeze, but I do love a challenge.

More images from the wedding are over at Worley Arts Photography

Friend Friday

by Ken Worley

Meet Holly.

Holly

I first met Holly at her families portrait session with Worley Arts Photography on a very cold day. Then I found out that she is going on the same mission trip that Lindsey and I are to the Dominican Republic. On the mission trip they have small “family groups” with one adult leader and six or seven teens in each group. Holly is part of my family group, what a small world. There may be more of my mission trip family group members as Friday friends in the future, so keep a look out for them.

Thank you Holly for being this week’s friend.

Our Marriage Rocks

by Ken Worley

Six years ago today I married the most amazing women that I have ever met. She is truly focused on God’s plan for her life. Many husbands want to be number one in their wives life, and at one time I thought the same way. But now I’m glad to be number two, God first and then me.

Together as one, we have gone through adventures that if someone would have asked me six year ago to be possible, I would have laughed and said “no way”. A Photography Business, A mission trip to Africa, and Adopting a teenager just to name a few of the things God has blessed us with over the last six years.  Man, God is awesome! Our relationship with God has become so much closer, which caused our relationship to each other to become closer that ever imaginable.

I love the shirt Jamie is wearing in this photograph. “My Marriage Still Rocks”, what an awesome way to explain our feelings for each other. In a thesaurus rocks can also mean be impressive, or be on fire; I love to think of our marriage being on fire and impressive.

I love you Jamie more each and every day. Thank you for being my bride!

Motivation Monday

by Ken Worley

I have had many dogs over the years and all have provided some type of entertainment for me. But Lacy has more facial expressions then any dog that I have every known. She can be very difficult to photograph at times, she seems to know when a camera is pointed in her direction and immediately looks the other way. Trying to get photos of her is one way she keeps me motivated.

If Lacy could talk what do you think she would be say to me in this photograph?

Super Moon

by Ken Worley

The Super Moon is when a full moon occurs during a lunar perigee (when the moon is closest to the earth during its orbit)

For those who missed it because of clouds or you needed sleep more, here is a photograph of the super moon. I thought about adding a cape with a “S” on but was afraid of being sued by Superman.

Photography Word Wednesday

by Ken Worley

This week’s photography words are:

Image Stabilization -Uses a floating optical system to help steady the image when it is seen on the sensor. Both Canon and Nikon have lens with image stabilization, in Canon it is known as IS from the name and in Nikon it is called VR for Vibration Reduction. Some DSLR will have the IS built into the camera and not the lens.
