by Ken Worley

A day at the farmers market is a great way for a family to spend the day. And you can come home with lots of great home grown or home made goodies.

Day 244 Project 366 – Blue Moon

by Ken Worley

When there are two full moons in one month, the second one is known as a blue moon. This will not happen again until July 31, 2015. The moon does not actually appear blue, (camera geek warning) but because I changed the camera’s white-balance to tungsten, I have a great photo of a blue moon.

by Ken Worley

There is a new puppy in our family. Brandon and Diane now have a dog, so I guess he would be my grand-dog. Say hello to Easton.

Day 242 Project 366 – Lindsey’s Painting

by Ken Worley

Yesterday Lindsey brought her painting home for the art class she is taking on Tuesdays. I tried to light it so you could see the textures in the painting. I’m happy that my family has a love for the arts. There are so many ways for us to show our creativity and I’m thankful to be able to give my family the opportunity to explore different avenues to show their creative side.

Day 240 Project 366 – Music in the Home

by Ken Worley

Kathryn starting playing the flute in the band. I’m glad that my family loves music. This just adds to the number of musical instruments in our home. We now have a piano, guitar, electric bass, and a flute. There was a drum set until Brandon borrowed it to play in a jazz band.

Day 239 Project 366 – Today’s My Birthday

by Ken Worley

Today in my birthday! It has been a great day, I had coffee with my awesome wife this morning at Copper Coin Coffee followed by lunch this afternoon at The Flying Biscuit.

Copper Coin

For my birthday I received a couple of hats to wear while running. It’s funny, I never thought of myself as a runner. I use the RunKeeper app to keep track of my time and miles. Yesterday I got an email telling me that I had ran 500 miles using RunKeeper. I like the saying on the hat to the right “You don’t have to go fast, you just have to go.” That could be because I’m not a very fast runner.

Day 238 Project 366 – There is Something Here!

by Ken Worley

We have chipmunks and lizards that love to run around in the backyard. Here Lacy is either looking for or has found one of these little critters. I don’t worry about her eating them because she is all about the chase, must her greyhound side.

Day 237 Project 366 – How Not to Watch D-Town TV

by Ken Worley

I enjoy watch the D-Town TV podcast, it is full of great tips and lots of camera gear talk. They make it easy to watch but I’m not sure this is what they had in mind. DO NOT place your iPhone on the instrument panel of your car so you can watch while you’re driving down the road! OK there is my disclaimer for the post.

Day 236 Project 366 – Hummingbirds are Crazy

by Ken Worley

The amount of hummingbirds the have in our backyard is crazy. I’m glad they are coming to our feeder but there is one male the is very territorial. Which makes it a little hard to get a photograph of then when he keeps dive bombing the feeder and scaring away the other hummingbirds.

Below is a female just before the crazy male ran her off.
