Photography Word Wednesday

by Ken Worley

This week’s photography word is:

EXIF – Exchangeable Image File, is used to record many settings on the camera as well as information about the camera when an image is created. Information such as make and model of the camera, time and date the image use made, shutter speed, aperture setting, and ISO. I know, this information can be seen on the camera  after making the image. But there is also information that is not as easily found, like copyright info, and number of shutter actuation of the camera.

Justin

Justin could be called a traveling man, he’s visited all fifty states, lived in Japan and told me that he even flew to Canada one time just so he could drive to Mexico.

Thank you Justin for being this Friday’s friend.

Photography Word Wednesday

This week’s photography word is:

Histogram – is a graphical representation of the photograph being made, that allow you to quickly see if an image is over of under exposed. The histogram is very handy when doing test shots in bright sun, because it is often much easier to see than an image on the cameras LCD. In order to avoid lose any detail in the photograph the histogram should not climb up on either side of the viewing frame.

Motivation Monday

by Ken Worley

This weeks photograph is from a recent New Year’s Eve wedding.

GTGetAway

They are an amazing couple and the getaway car was the popular Ramblin’ Wreck, which was very fitting because they meet at Georgia Tech’s orientation. More photographs from the wedding are on the Worley Arts site.

I get motivation from a photograph like this one, because it shows how fun the wedding day was and it incorporated how the couple met.
