Meet Joseph,
I met Joseph a few years ago through a home-school group. He and his brothers even took one of our ballroom dance classes. He’s in a band now that I hope to have the honor of photographing one day. When I made this photograph he said that no one had ever been that close to him with a camera before.

This week’s photography words are:
Exposure Compensation – Gives the user the ability to tell the camera to overexpose or underexpose the image so the photographer can control the appearance of the photograph. Today’s cameras are very smart, but don’t know which part on the image you are wanting to be the main subject. This is where exposure compensation can help. Photographing a person standing in front of a very bright background without exposure compensation would cause the person to be a silhouette.
This is a special Motivation Monday sorry it is a little late, but we don’t get to play in the snow very often here.
Today is also my oldest daughter’s 16th birthday. I think five inches of snow in GA is a awesome present for her.
I love my iPhone, the freedom of being able to make a photo while playing in the snow without the worry of where to put my camera while we sled.
Meet Allison,
I first met Allison when she was the Cowardly Lion in a Wizard of Oz play with Kathryn. Now she is good friends with Lindsey as well. I guess you could say she is friends with the entire Worley family. Allison is taking guitar lesson so I ask her to play for us a little while she was visiting. Sorry, Allison for the out of tune guitar, but thanks for playing and being on my Friend Friday post.
This week’s photography word is:
Underexposed – giving less than normal exposure when making the photograph. This will cause the detail in the shadows of the image to be lost.
